Who We Are
Brief History
Founded in 1975, C.S. SANTIAGO CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. started out as a single-proprietorship by its namesake
Engr. Celso S. Santiago. Under a “Small B” category, it initially engaged only in minor land-based projects. In no time however its performance began to draw notice in the industry. By its incorporation in 1985, the company had flourished from its humble beginnings to emerge as a major player in the offshore construction market.
Presently, CSSCCI boasts of an AAA license for General Engineering from the Philippine Contractor’s Accreditation Board (PCAB). Additionally, it is classified as a “Large B” firm in Port, Harbor and Offshore Engineering and a “Large A” in Road, Highway, Airport Horizontal Structures and Bridges. It has built an enviable track record in the construction of specialized structures such as bridges, marine foundations, loading and berthing facilities and even airport runways.
The company has completed innumerable government contracts with the likes of the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA), the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), the Department of Transportation (DOTr), the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) among others.
The private sector has likewise availed of its sterling track record. Its clientele include multinationals such as Petron, Shell and Caltex and local giants such as Seaoil, Tigerland Realty and Jetti Petroleum.
Of late CSSCCI has gained the favor of international organizations. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is a valued client and the Pio Duran Breakwater in Masbate and the Jolo Airport Runway Project are living testaments to this enduring partnership. The company has successfully entered into joint ventures with global contractors such as South Korea’s KUMHO-GS. Together they collaborated to build the Puerto Princesa Airport Runway.
But CSSCCI is not in business only for profit. It embraces the builder’s unique role in nation-building and has dared where others would not. Hand in hand with the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) which eventually gave way to the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), the last 10 years has seen the company build piers and roads in the areas of Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi.
From the northern shores of Luzon to the southern islands of Mindanao, in CSSCCI, we build to last.
